Story
After losing her parents at a young age, Neha (Avika Gor) is brought home by her uncle (Shivaji Raja). Karthik (Nandu), who is related to her, develops an obsessive love for her. However, Neha has liked Gautham (Raviteja Mahadasyam) since childhood, and the two fall in love. Upon learning this, Karthik turns into a psychopath. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
What did the uncle do after finding out about Neha’s love affair? Why did Neha marry Karthik, whom she never liked and who had tortured her since childhood? How much more did Karthik torment Neha after marriage? What happened to Gautham? Why were Karthik and Neha found lying in a pool of blood? Who was actually at fault? And what ultimately happened? The movie unfolds the answers to these questions.
Artists Performance
Nandu delivers a powerful performance as Karthik. He portrays the role of a psycho husband with complete honesty and intensity, never holding back. Right from the first scene, the transformation in his eyes and body language is noticeable. He switches from calmness to anger within seconds. Though the character had the potential to become overly loud, Nandu keeps it realistic and believable.
Avika Gor is excellent as Neha, and her performance elevates the film further. She expresses fear, pain, and silent strength effortlessly, often without dialogue. Her expressions speak volumes whenever Karthik hurts her, making the audience sympathize with Neha and hope for her safety.
Shivaji Raja is decent and natural in the role of the uncle, playing a regular father figure effectively. Raviteja Mahadasyam is sincere as Gautham and fits the boyfriend character well. Pragya Nayan appears briefly as a police officer but still manages to leave an impression.
Technical Aspects
Director Pranava Swaroop handles a sensitive subject with authenticity, choosing to present the harsh reality instead of preaching to the audience. He allows viewers to reflect on relationship dynamics and draw their own conclusions.
Sri Sai Kumar Dhara’s cinematography is neat and visually sharp. The camera work stays close to the characters, capturing emotions effectively. Shravan Bharadwaj’s music and background score add significant value to the film. The re-recording enhances the tension in crucial scenes without becoming overpowering.
The sound design is also impressive, making the silence feel intense and impactful whenever required. The editing becomes crisp and engaging, especially after the interval. Despite being made on a limited budget, the production values are commendable. Overall, the team has delivered quality work in every technical department.
Final Word
Nandu delivers a brave and intense performance, while Avika Gor impresses with her heart-touching portrayal. More than the plot, the film relies heavily on its characters, and it succeeds well in achieving that goal. It is worth watching for those who enjoy strong storytelling and raw, impactful performances.
