Sundeep Kishan’s Karikaala Launched Grandly With a Pooja Ceremony

Sundeep Kishan’s upcoming pan-India film Karikaala has been officially launched with a grand pooja ceremony. Directed by Ugandhar Muni and produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju under Shining Pictures, the film promises a unique mix of mythology, fantasy, adventure and social elements.

Catherine Tresa, Sakkshi Mhadolkar and Gayatri Bhardwaj play the female leads, while Sricharan Pakala is composing the music.

At the launch event, Sundeep Kishan expressed his excitement about the project and praised the producers for their commitment to bringing the ambitious story to life. He also expressed confidence in the film’s music and said Karikaala could become one of the most memorable projects of his career.

Director Ugandhar Muni revealed that the film will unfold in a magical world featuring ancient kingdoms, lions, wolves, mystical powers and Naga Lokam. Describing it as a fairytale inspired by Chandamama stories, he confirmed that the film will be made in two parts, with both chapters being shot simultaneously.

The makers have planned an ambitious release schedule, with Karikaala Chapter 1 arriving in theatres on July 2, 2027, and Chapter 2 releasing on October 28, 2027. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

Producer Rajashekhar Annabhimoju thanked the team for their support and said filming is set to begin next week. Sricharan Pakala also expressed happiness about reuniting with Sundeep Kishan and Ugandhar Muni after their association with Shambhala.

The film’s first-look poster has already attracted attention, presenting Sundeep Kishan in a powerful warrior avatar. With elaborate world-building, grand visuals and a fantasy-driven storyline, the makers are aiming to deliver a distinctive cinematic experience.

Following Shambhala, Ugandhar Muni is taking on a much larger canvas with Karikaala. More details about the supporting cast and technical team are expected to be announced soon.
