Least Eligible Bachelor Review

2.5/5

Movie Description

Telugu web series Least Eligible Bachelor, starring Harsha Chemudu in the lead role, is streaming on ETV Win and Netflix. Directed by Babu Degala, the series blends comedy, romance and family drama, with a storyline centred on marriage pressure, career struggles and an unexpected relationship.

Aishwarya Holakkal plays the female lead, while Hyper Aadi, Sri Vidhya, Jeevan Reddy and others appear in supporting roles.

Story

Teja (Harsha Chemudu) is an ordinary young man who faces constant pressure from his father to get married. With hopes of finding a job and settling down, he moves to Hyderabad. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he joins a corporate office and starts working under Madhu (Aishwarya Holakkal).

Madhu has her own ambitions and plans to move to the United States. Circumstances eventually bring the two together in a live-in relationship, leading to a series of humorous and emotional situations. The rest of the story revolves around their relationship and the challenges they face along the way.

Performances

Harsha Chemudu does a decent job as Teja. His natural acting and comic timing suit the character, particularly in scenes involving family pressure and everyday struggles. He brings a certain innocence to the role that works in the series’ favour.

Aishwarya Holakkal delivers a fair performance and fits the character of Madhu. Sri Vidhya adds energy to the proceedings, while Hyper Aadi provides some entertaining moments with his comedy. Jeevan Reddy and the other supporting actors contribute to the narrative.

Plus Points
  • Harsha Chemudu’s performance
  • A few enjoyable comedy sequences
  • Support from the supporting cast
  • Relatable situations involving marriage and working life
Minus Points
  • A familiar and predictable storyline
  • Uneven comedy in several portions
  • Some stretched scenes
  • The narrative loses momentum as it progresses
Technical Aspects

Director Babu Degala chooses a familiar combination of workplace comedy, romance and family emotions. While the concept offers scope for entertaining situations, the screenplay could have been tighter. Certain scenes work well, but others fail to maintain the same level of engagement.

Shakti Aravind’s cinematography is adequate, and Ajay Arasada’s background score supports the mood of the series. Likhith Lee’s editing could have been sharper, particularly in portions where the story slows down.

Final Verdict

Least Eligible Bachelor has a few enjoyable moments, with Harsha Chemudu and the supporting cast doing their best to keep the proceedings entertaining. However, the routine plot, predictable developments and uneven pacing prevent the series from making a strong impression.

It may appeal to viewers looking for a simple Telugu comedy-drama with familiar relationship themes. Those expecting fresh writing and consistently engaging humour, however, may find it an average watch.
