How do these two emotionally broken individuals fall in love, and how does their relationship journey unfold? What is the other medical condition Raj battles with? Do they finally get married? And what shocking truth does Sanjana uncover towards the climax? The rest of the story revolves around these intriguing developments.

Artists Performances

Coming to the performances, Deepshikha Chandran gets the most substantial role and shoulders much of the film. However, her inconsistent lip-sync and dubbing turn out to be distracting at several places. Though she performs sincerely in emotional scenes, the impact doesn’t land as effectively as intended.

Surya Vashistta gets limited scope to showcase his abilities, as his character remains confined to a wheelchair for most of the film. Srinivas Reddy appears in a relatively serious role, offering a change from his usual comic outings, while Shyamala delivers a decent performance after a long time. Chaitanya Jonnalagadda is satisfactory in his supporting role as a doctor. Despite the efforts, none of the performances manage to leave a strong or lasting impression.

Technical Aspects

The production values of the film are decent. Suraj S. Kurup’s music emerges as one of the major highlights, with all the songs blending effectively into the narrative and leaving a pleasant impact. Aravind Theerthakovel’s cinematography is serviceable, while Ravi Teja Girijala’s editing is just about adequate.

Coming to director Vijay Adireddy, he does a fair job with the casting and characterization of the lead roles. However, the emotional drama surrounding the characters lacks the required depth and intensity. Apart from the climax, most of the narrative feels dull and underwhelming. The film fails to evoke strong emotions or present the love story in a fresh and engaging manner. Given the emotional potential of the storyline, the overall execution could have been far more impactful.

Final Word

On the whole, Ramani Kalyanam is a routine emotional drama that works only in parts. While the music and a few performances offer some relief, the film is ultimately weighed down by a flat, predictable, and emotionally underwhelming narrative.
