Following the blockbuster success of Karuppu, Suriya is now gearing up for his next outing, Vishwanath & Sons. Directed by Lucky Baskhar fame Venky Atluri, the family entertainer stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. The film is set to arrive in theatres on August 14, and the makers have unveiled its theatrical trailer a week ahead of release.
The trailer offers a breezy and pleasant glimpse into what appears to be a heartwarming family drama. Suriya plays Sanjay Vishwanath, a professional pistol shooter whose newborn son is diagnosed with a bone marrow disorder. As the family desperately searches for a suitable donor, they come across Mamitha Baiju’s character, whose lively presence brings a fresh energy to the proceedings.
The story takes an interesting turn as Mamitha’s character grows closer to Suriya, with their significant age difference becoming a major complication. At the same time, the trailer hints at strong emotional moments and a wholesome family-oriented narrative. A few dialogues stand out, while Suriya looks convincing in a mature role and Mamitha adds plenty of freshness and charm.
Venky Atluri once again appears to be relying on a clean, emotionally driven presentation, and the trailer suggests that he could deliver another winner after Lucky Baskhar. With an appealing premise, strong performances, and promising emotional depth, Vishwanath & Sons looks like an entertaining theatrical watch.
The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Studios, with GV Prakash Kumar composing the music.
