The upcoming Telugu film Oh.! Sukumari, starring Thiru Veer and Aishwarya Rajesh, is gearing up for a theatrical release on July 17. The film is written and directed by debutant Bharat Dharshan and produced by Maheswara Reddy Mooli under the Gangaa Entertainments banner, following Shivam Bhaje.
The film’s theatrical trailer was unveiled today by Anil Ravipudi, giving audiences a glimpse of a wholesome entertainer that blends romance, comedy, and rustic village charm.
The trailer introduces Damini, a mischievous young woman who is feared throughout her village for a bizarre reason: anyone who touches her receives an electric shock. Her family keeps this unusual secret hidden and arranges her marriage to the hero, who is completely unaware of her condition.
After the wedding, the hero is left shocked as he encounters a series of unexpected situations. The story revolves around how the couple navigates this strange challenge and gradually develops love and understanding.
Director Bharat Dharshan appears to have brought the unique concept to the screen in an entertaining way, balancing humor with emotional moments. Thiru Veer impresses as a carefree village youngster, while Aishwarya Rajesh delivers a strong performance in a role of equal importance.
The supporting cast includes Muralidhar Goud, Vishnu Oi (of MAD fame), Jhansi, Amani, and Anandhkota Jayaram, all of whom add to the film’s fun-filled moments.
On the technical front, CH Kushendar handles cinematography, capturing the village backdrop effectively, while Bharath Manchiraju provides music that complements the film’s light-hearted tone. The technical team also includes production designer Thirumala M. Thirupathi (of Balagam fame), editor Sree Varaprasad, costume designer Anu Reddy Akkati, and lyricist Purnachary.
With its unusual premise and entertaining trailer, Oh..!Sukumari looks set to offer audiences a refreshing village-based entertainer when it releases on July 17.
