Sumanth’s upcoming film Mahendragiri Varahi has completed its censor formalities. The movie has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the way for its theatrical release.
Directed by Santhossh Jagarlapudi, the film is presented as a spiritual mystery thriller with an intriguing storyline set against a mythological backdrop. The story reportedly revolves around a royal family and a mysterious curse that has been haunting its male heirs for generations.
Sumanth is playing the lead role, while Aishwarya Rajesh, Meenakshi Goswami and Malavika Nair are part of the cast. Siddhu Jonnalagadda is also said to be making a special appearance in the movie.
Anup Rubens is composing the music, while the film is produced by Madhu Kalipu and Laxman under Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films.
With the censor process now completed, Mahendragiri Varahi is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on September 11, 2026. The film’s unique spiritual backdrop and mystery elements have created interest among Telugu cinema audiences.
