After multiple delays, Akhil Akkineni’s much-awaited action drama Lenin is finally set to hit theaters on July 10. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, with fans hoping it marks a strong comeback for Akhil.
The makers launched the theatrical trailer at a grand event in Visakhapatnam, and it promises an action-packed rural entertainer with an emotional core. The trailer opens with a powerful voiceover by Nagarjuna Akkineni, introducing Sri Rama Puram, a sacred village in Chittoor district where locals believe that no blood should ever touch the ground.

The narrative initially explores the charming romance between Akhil and Bhagyashri Borse through light-hearted moments before shifting gears into an intense action drama. As a threat looms over someone close to the protagonist, the story takes a violent turn, with the film drawing inspiration from themes often associated with the Mahabharata. The trailer’s final moments stand out with a gripping mix of romance, emotion, and high-voltage action.
Akhil impresses with his rugged makeover, powerful screen presence, and convincing portrayal of a village youth. His action sequences are a major highlight, especially the emotional transition from pleading with the villains to spare the heroine to unleashing his fierce side. His chemistry with Bhagyashri Borse also looks refreshing, while the actress shines as a graceful village belle.

Veteran actor Shivaji appears menacing in the antagonist’s role, adding weight to the conflict. Thaman elevates the trailer with a thunderous background score that perfectly complements the film’s intense mood.
Overall, the theatrical trailer delivers a strong first impression, raising expectations for a gripping action drama. Lenin is jointly produced by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna Akkineni under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios.
