After a successful theatrical run, Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi-starrer Gatta Kusthi 2 is all set to make its digital debut. The comedy-sports entertainer will begin streaming on Netflix from July 31, 2026, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, allowing audiences across India to enjoy the film.
Released in cinemas on July 3, the film emerged as a commercial success, earning praise for its entertaining blend of sports, comedy, family emotions, and action. Directed by Chella Ayyavu and jointly produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh and Vishnu Vishal, the sequel benefited from strong word of mouth and a well-received soundtrack, helping it perform impressively in Tamil Nadu as well as overseas markets.
The film grossed over ₹50 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of Vishnu Vishal’s career. Interestingly, the makers opted to skip a theatrical release in Telugu states and instead chose a direct OTT launch on Netflix to reach a wider audience.
With the first Gatta Kusthi enjoying a strong digital following, expectations for the sequel are high among Telugu viewers. Backed by multi-language dubbing, Gatta Kusthi 2 is expected to attract both family audiences and youngsters across South India and Hindi premieres on July 31.
