Despite receiving a mixed response from audiences and critics, Mohanlal’s much-awaited Malayalam thriller Drishyam 3 turned out to be a major commercial success at the box office. The film went on to collect more than Rs. 200 crore gross worldwide, proving the enduring popularity of the franchise. Trade analysts believe the movie could have achieved even bigger milestones had it fully lived up to the sky-high expectations surrounding it.
After completing a successful theatrical run, Drishyam 3 is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. The latest reports suggest that the film will begin streaming on June 18. Streaming giant Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights.
In addition to the original Malayalam version, the Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada dubbed versions will also be made available on the same day. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the third chapter of the acclaimed Drishyam franchise features an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil in pivotal roles.
