Kiran Abbavaram’s upcoming romantic entertainer Chennai Love Story is all set to hit theatres this Friday. Directed by Ravi Namburii, the film stars Sri Gouri Priya as the female lead, while veteran composer Mani Sharma has scored the music.
Ahead of its release, the film has successfully completed its censor process. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared the movie with a U/A certificate without recommending a single cut. The film’s final runtime has been locked at 179 minutes (2 hours and 59 minutes).
Although the runtime is on the longer side for a romantic drama, the makers are confident that the engaging screenplay will keep audiences invested throughout.
Interestingly, Baby, another production backed by SKN and Sai Rajesh, also had a runtime of nearly three hours and went on to become a blockbuster at the box office. The team behind Chennai Love Story is hoping to recreate a similar success when the film arrives in cinemas this weekend.
