Tollywood filmmakers usually announce promotional content in advance, but the makers of Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film Lenin surprised everyone by suddenly releasing the teaser a short while ago. May 23 holds special significance for the Akkineni family, as it marks the release anniversary of Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s final film, Manam, making it the perfect occasion to unveil the teaser.
Titled “Lenin – Manodu Vasthunnaadu,” the teaser highlights the film’s romantic backdrop set in a rural environment, while also teasing intense action moments towards the end. The promo mainly focuses on the love story between Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, showcasing their playful chemistry and charming interactions.
Both Akhil and Bhagyashri appear in Rayalaseema-style roles and speak in the local dialect, with their village makeovers looking convincing and appealing. Shivaji and Saranya Pradeep play important supporting roles in the film. Music is composed by S. Thaman.
The movie is jointly produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna Akkineni under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios. Lenin is scheduled to release in theatres on June 26.
