Gujarati cinema is set to take a major step onto the national stage with Shri Kesari Nandan, announced as the first pan-India film from the Gujarati film industry. Produced under the banner of Atul India Movies and presented by Atul M. Bosamiya, the film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on Ram Navami 2027.
The makers have unveiled the film’s first-look poster, promising a visually grand devotional entertainer. Shri Kesari Nandan will release across seven languages — Gujarati, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali — with plans to reach audiences across India and overseas.
A Strong South-Gujarat Collaboration
Award-winning Tamil filmmaker Sabrinathan Muthupandian has written and directed the film. Popular actors Arpit Ranka and Maulik Chauhan headline the project, alongside a large ensemble cast from different parts of the country.
The technical team includes cinematographer Subhash Dandapani, while Kannada music composer Abhinandan Kashyap has scored the music. Mahipal Singh Ranawat, Rajesh Thakur, Hiren Patel and Paresh Jagda are associated with the project as associate producers.
Devotion Meets Grand-Scale Cinema
Shri Kesari Nandan is built around themes of faith, devotion, heritage and transformation. The makers aim to present its traditional story on a large canvas by combining Indian cultural values with modern filmmaking technology and a South Indian cinematic approach.
With its seven-language release and ambitious scale, Shri Kesari Nandan is looking to mark a new chapter for Gujarati cinema when it arrives in theatres worldwide on Ram Navami 2027.
