Actor Nani has announced the second project from his production house, Unanimous Productions, with talented actor Nithiin stepping into the lead role. Titled Alias Rukmini, the upcoming romantic drama will be helmed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, who impressed audiences with his acclaimed film Dhandoraa.
The makers unveiled the film’s title through an innovative announcement video that hints at the film’s intriguing storyline. The video begins with director Murali Kanth narrating the life of Krishna, a Class 10 mathematics teacher played by Nithiin. As the narration unfolds, the video takes viewers into a dream-like world featuring characters inspired by fictional novels written under the name Rukmini.
Adding an interesting twist, Nani appears in the video and questions, “Who is Rukmini?” Krishna’s emotional reply reveals that Rukmini is his wife, setting the tone for a heartfelt story supported by soulful background music.
The announcement video also introduces fictional book titles like Vratham Venkanna, Garam Gopal, and Aameku Aame Ante Istam, offering glimpses into Rukmini’s character and the unique storytelling approach of the film.
Produced by Deepthi Ganta under Unanimous Productions, Alias Rukmini is said to be a romantic drama filled with emotional depth and bold themes. The film was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony and is currently in the pre-production phase, with regular shooting expected to begin soon.
The film features a strong technical team, including Jomon T. John ISC as the cinematographer, Vijai Bulganin as the music composer, Avinash Kolla as the production designer, and Srujana Adusumilli as the editor.
With Nani backing the project and Murali Kanth Devasoth bringing his vision to the screen, expectations are high for Alias Rukmini to deliver a memorable comeback for Nithiin.
