Mahendragiri Varahi, starring Sumanth in the lead, is all set to arrive in theatres on September 11, 2026. The release date was officially announced by the makers during a press meet held on Monday.
Directed by Santhossh Jagarlapudi, the mythological thriller marks his second collaboration with Sumanth after Subrahmanyapuram. To build excitement ahead of the release, the team carried out a distinctive promotional campaign during Varahi Gupta Navratri, installing idols of Goddess Varahi in nearly 100 theatres across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Aishwarya Rajesh, Meenakshi Goswami, Malavika Nair, Vennela Kishore, Rajeev Kanakala, Brahmanandam, and Kamal Kamaraju in pivotal roles. Music is composed by Anup Rubens, while the film is currently in the final phase of post-production.
Mahendragiri Varahi is jointly produced by Madhu Kalipu and Laxman under the Rajashyamala Entertainments and Bridge Films banners.
