Following the massive success of HanuMan, the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) is gearing up for its next big chapter with Mahakali, a female-led superhero film directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru. Actress Bhoomi Shetty headlines the ambitious project, while veteran Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna takes on the powerful role of Asaguru Shukracharya.
The film has made significant progress, with the team successfully completing 125 days of shooting. Production has now entered its final phase, and both Akshaye Khanna and Rohit Saraf have wrapped up filming for their respective roles.
Designed as a grand cinematic spectacle, Mahakali is being shot specifically for IMAX screens. The makers are expected to unveil the film’s release date soon, with a string of promotional updates set to follow.
Penned by Prasanth Varma, the film is being produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner, while Smaran Sai is composing the soundtrack.
