The film also marked the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran.
The first installment was produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and fans will now be eager to see whether the much-anticipated sequel officially takes shape in the coming months.
Now, an exciting update regarding the franchise has surfaced. In a recent interview, Keerthiswaran revealed that discussions about Dude 2 are already underway. The director stated that he has pitched a fresh idea to Pradeep Ranganathan that retains the essence and spirit of the original film.
Keerthiswaran further added that he is currently developing the script, and if everything falls into place, Dude 2 will soon move into production. He clarified that the sequel, if greenlit, will be a direct continuation of the story established in Dude rather than a standalone film.
