Fans who have been eagerly awaiting an update on the second season of the blockbuster Telugu supernatural thriller Dhootha have a reason to celebrate. After making a strong impact with its debut season in 2023 and marking Naga Chaitanya’s successful entry into the OTT space, the much-loved series is officially gearing up for its next chapter.
The makers kickstarted Dhootha Season 2 with a grand pooja ceremony held today in Hyderabad. Veteran actor Akkineni Nagarjuna attended the event and formally launched the project by clapping the board for the team.
Interestingly, the upcoming season brings a new milestone for Naga Chaitanya. While the first season introduced him as a digital star, the second season will see him stepping into the role of a producer for the first time. His decision to back the project reflects his strong belief in the story and confidence in the creative vision behind the series.
Production is expected to commence shortly, with key members of the original team returning for the sequel. Creator and director Vikram Kumar will once again helm the project, while producer Sharrath Marar, along with actors Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar, will reprise their association with the franchise.
Dhootha Season 2 will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, and further details regarding its release schedule are expected to be announced in the coming months.
